Description
This course will equip students with active reading skills and vocabulary learning strategies that will improve their success in other courses. Designed to be taken with another class that relies heavily on difficult reading.

Comprehend and retain information through reading.
Apply active reading strategies including highlighting/annotating, note-taking, and using the book as a tool as they read difficult textbooks and college materials.
Apply vocabulary learning strategies.
Use Internet technology to support reading comprehension.
Use established CSN support services to improve their success in difficult classes.
