TCA 225 - Introduction to International Tourism Credits: 3 Description Study of international travel and tourism. Focuses on the economic, social, political and environmental considerations of international tourism management and development. International tourist destinations are explored.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Differentiate world destinations on a map.
- Evaluate political and economic aspects of tourism development to show the importance of tourism to the financial well-being and employment in various countries.
- Develop multicultural awareness in Tourism.
- Develop oral and written presentation skills to include preparing PowerPoint slides.
- Apply basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to solving problems. (Math component).
