THTR 214 - Costume Technology Credits: 3 Description Fundamentals of technical theatre production, with emphasis on familiarization with costume technology, and organization and construction techniques. A hands on experience in sewing, pattern use, and costume construction. This course requires participation in shop or run crews for departmental productions.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Model responsibilities and relationships of costume technology and construction to the production process.
- Build costume garments using shop equipment and tools.
- Demonstrate basic and advanced machine sewing techniques.
- Classify fabric types and qualities of various materials.
- Create a patterned fashion item.
