WWT 101B - Wastewater Treatment I Credits: 3 Description This course will cover the safe operation of municipal wastewater treatment facilities. Topics include flow measurement, screening, grit removal, sedimentation basins, solids handling, secondary biological processes and disinfection.

- Describe basic safe water practices for wastewater treatment facilities.
- Identify the proper safety equipment needed for wastewater treatment facilities.
- Explain secondary biological treatment processes for wastewater facilities.
- Describe the purpose and procedure for disinfection of wastewater.
