Description
Students will explore the machines and auxiliary equipment used in the power production industry. This course will highlight the function and performance of a typical gas turbine and will include hydraulic bolting procedures.

Student Learning Outcomes

Define terminology and operating principles; bolting theory.
Review drawings to identify and locate machine features, components and key characteristics.
Perform various incidental fastening methods for routine maintenance tasks.
Accurately pre-tension and tension bolting using hydraulic tooling.
Employ the appropriate use of personal protective equipment and safety practices.
