OPME 243B - Water Treatment Plant Operation Credits: 1 Description Basic knowledge for the safe operation of drinking water treatment plants. Topics include water resources, reservoir management, coagulation and flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, corrosion control and taste and odor control.

- Perform all water tests necessary for internal and external water treatment.
- Name the chemicals used to perform water tests.
- Identify the equipment used for water tests.
- Explain “rule of thumb” water sample limits.
