Student Learning Outcomes
- Identify basic concepts of Anatomy, Microbiology, and Medical Terminology as it relates to the duties of Sterile Processing Technicians.
- Recognize the duties and requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician within the healthcare setting.
- Perform the correct decontamination, and sterilization process for various types of surgical instrumentation, and medical equipment.
- Outline the processes needed to set-up and transport instrument trays for use and processing.
