Normal and therapeutic nutritional needs of various species of animals and ration formulation are covered.

Explain the energy and nutrient requirements of well animals.
Identify and analyze commercial and prescription diets.
Identify common toxic plants and substances.
Create and implement a protocol for well and hospitalized patient nutrition.
Counsel clients regarding nutritional recommendations suggested for their pets.
