Description
An introduction to the principles of asepsis, preparation and operating room protocols and etiquette, surgical preparation of the patient and operating room personnel, and surgical instrumentation.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Explain aseptic principles in the veterinary hospital.
- Explain the requirements for aseptic preparation of patients, operating room personnel, and facilities.
- Explain basic operating room etiquette to maintain an aseptic environment.
- Demonstrate familiarity with essential operating room equipment and instruments.
