TCA 448 - Land and Cruise Operations and Management

Description
This course is a field study course – students will examine cruise or land meeting venues to be used to produce events or hold meetings/conferences/conventions for corporations and/or associations. Study will include evaluating travel documentation, transportation logistics, different cultures, geography, climate and much more.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Compare hospitality property and cruise line brands to include itineraries and customers.
  2. Analyze transportation opportunities, check-in/boarding, lodging, F&B, entertainment and security requirements on board an ocean going vessel (and properties on land).
  3. Evaluate land and cruise ship hospitality – cultural diversity in stakeholders.
  4. Enhance oral and written communication in a multicultural environment.
