TCA 448 - Land and Cruise Operations and Management Credits: 3 Description This course is a field study course – students will examine cruise or land meeting venues to be used to produce events or hold meetings/conferences/conventions for corporations and/or associations. Study will include evaluating travel documentation, transportation logistics, different cultures, geography, climate and much more.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Compare hospitality property and cruise line brands to include itineraries and customers.
- Analyze transportation opportunities, check-in/boarding, lodging, F&B, entertainment and security requirements on board an ocean going vessel (and properties on land).
- Evaluate land and cruise ship hospitality – cultural diversity in stakeholders.
- Enhance oral and written communication in a multicultural environment.
