TCA 401 - Hospitality and Tourism Risk Management and Security

Description
Examines security, loss prevention, safety and risk management as related to the hospitality and tourism industries. This will include security issues relating to concerts and other events. Legal concepts specific to industry operations are applied.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Evaluate comprehensiveness of acts of violence and terrorism and their consequences in the hospitality and tourism industries.
  2. Explore risk assessment in political events, conventions, sport events, concerts, fairs and festivals.
  3. Evaluate and apply guidelines for effective risk management.
  4. Create a risk assessment survey and initial crisis response plan.
