FAB 401 - Food Service Operations Law Credits: 3 Description Laws affecting the operation of a food service establishment will be explored. Topics will include contracts, legal operating structures, business licenses, regulations, legal obligations to a guest, liability, insurance, risk management, trademarks, copyrights and tax law. Case studies will demonstrate how laws are currently applied.

- Evaluate insurance options in light of potential liabilities.
- Devise legal solutions to food service case studies.
- Create a safety plan.
Prerequisite: ENG 333 and FAB 340 both with a grade of C- or higher Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade
