Description
The history of Earth through geological time including methods used to recognize fossils and their significance. Laboratories involve paleontology methods, maps and fossil studies. Required weekend field trips.

Describe the general Plate Tectonic events that occurred within major geologic provinces.
Describe the major rock assemblages that occur within major Plate Tectonic environments.
Explain and interpret geologic maps using geologic and structural principles.
