DESCRIPTION

The Associate of Science Degree in Physical Science is a general transfer program for students who are planning to transfer to a baccalaureate or pre-professional institution. A secondary objective may be employment upon completion of the AS degree.

Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Demonstrate Scientific Methods and relate theory, experiment, data analysis, and general knowledge.
  2. Analyze data and perform dimensional and graphical analysis of collected data.

General Education Requirements (30 Credits)


Mathematics (4 Credits)


NOTE: Your first college-level MATH course MUST be completed before reaching 30 total college-level credits.

  • REMINDER: If a student does not place into the correct MATH course level, they are required to complete a preparatory or prerequisite course(s) or attempt to gain a higher score on the MATH placement exam. Such preparatory courses are not part of the degree, may delay degree completion, and will cause the student to complete more credits then the total listed on this degree.

English Composition (6-8 Credits)


NOTE: Your first college-level ENG course MUST be completed before reaching 30 total college-level credits.

Fine Arts (3 Credits)

All students MUST fulfill this requirement. Course chosen may also be used to fulfill the corresponding general education or special program requirements.

Special Program Requirements (30 Credits)


Minimum of 14 credits required including one course with a lab.  Please see a counselor or advisor for course selection or the academic map for which institution you are transferring to.
