DESCRIPTION

Successful completion of this Associate of Applied Science degree will provide students with an opportunity to seek employment in casino supervisory and management positions. For those currently employed in the industry, this credential enhances the opportunity for job advancement, professional growth and career mobility. Students will obtain knowledge in table games, slot operations, casino surveillance, casino marketing, gaming laws and regulations, casino cage operations, casino mathematics, statistical analysis, financial accounting, and human relations in the casino industry.

  1. Explain casino terminology and the standard operating procedures applicable to slot operations, surveillance, casino marketing, table games, and cage operations.
  2. Interpret the laws, regulations, and minimum internal control standards that govern casino operations.
  3. Evaluate principles related to casino mathematics, statistical analysis, and financial accounting.
  4. Identify the customer service traits, characteristics, and attitudes consistent with acceptable guest service standards.
