DESCRIPTION
This degree prepares students for employment in fields related primarily to computer programming. In addition to technical content, the degree includes skills in communication (oral, written, and listening), project management, databases, web site development, teamwork, and problem solving.

Student Learning Outcomes
- Differentiate between various approaches and methodologies of software and systems development life cycles.
- Prepare documentation at each stage in the development of a software application.
- Design and develop software applications that meet the specifics of the user.
- Construct computer programs using a variety of programming models, including procedural, object-oriented, event-driven, and mobile device application development.
- Incorporate standards and practices in the development of secure software.
- Practice communication and team-building skills.
