Construction Management, AAS [CTMGT-AAS, 60 Total Credits]


DESCRIPTION

This degree prepares students to supervise and manage the construction of commercial and residential buildings.  Students learn proper procedures and materials that comply with plans, specifications, and building codes.  Students will be prepared for employment as construction estimators, schedulers, project managers, and other supervisory positions in the construction industry.

Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Analyze items, elements, or systems in a construction project by manually and visually identifying what is necessary for its construction, accurately calculate the quantities needed, and estimate its total installed cost.
  2. Correlate the construction field administration phase including contract documents, construction schedules, submittals, reports, and close-out elements.
  3. Diagnose construction contracts, lien laws, contract changes, scheduling, insurances and bonds, and contract disputes.
  4. Analyze the value of Lean techniques and their significance in the area of construction.
