ANTH 290 - Internship in Anthropology Credits: 1-8 Description Supervised work experience in anthropology under guidance of a professional anthropologist or related professional. Student will apply knowledge and skills to real on-the-job situations. Students must complete a minimum of two (2) credits to satisfy the requirements of the Forensic Anthropology Certificate of Achievement or a minimum of three (3) credits to satisfy the Cultural Resource Management Certificate of Achievement.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Details and reflect upon activities and experiences as an intern emphasizing collaboration activities with the workplace supervisor and instructor.
- Work with an existing academic institution, government agency, private business, or faculty-assigned research project using theoretical and practical skills.
- Prepare a curriculum vitae or resume that outlines skills and work experiences in Anthropology.
Prerequisite: ANTH 101 with a grade of C or higher; and a grade of C or higher in either ANTH 102 or ANTH 105 or ANTH 106 Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade May Be Repeated: Twice for up to 5 credits
