AV 251 - Commercial Pilot Lab Credits: 3 Description Students will begin the foundation of practical flight skills that model the FAA Commercial Pilot Airplane Certificate airman certification standards in the classroom utilizing lab resources and flight simulation technology. This course is designed for AAS Aviation Technology Professional Pilot Development degree seeking majors. Students are subject to compliance pertaining to Federal Aviation Regulations and Transportation Security Administration Regulations.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate flight maneuvers modeling the FAA Airman Certification Standards for the Commercial Pilot Airplane Single Engine Land in an FAA Approved Flight Simulator.
- Demonstrate navigation techniques in a simulated environment.
- Perform critical thinking skills with regards to regulations and procedures.
- Manipulate different aircraft simulator technologies and instrumentation.
Prerequisite: AV 212 with a grade of C or higher Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade
