CRS 317 - Neonatal and Pediatric Cardiorespiratory Equipment Credits: 1 Description Emphasizes skill development of neonatal/pediatric cardiorespiratory care. Equipment application and operation theory of mechanical ventilation and physiological monitoring presented.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Recognize the need for and apply appropriate respiratory care techniques in the neonatal and pediatric populations.
- Differentiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation for both the neonatal and pediatric patient.
- Recommend appropriate respiratory care treatment modalities and modify as needed.
- Summarize the concepts of mechanical ventilation as applied to the neonatal and pediatric patient.
- Prepare for the Perinatal/Pediatric Specialty Examination given by the NBRC.
