Map for Transfer: CSN AA Secondary Education to NSU BS Secondary Education - Biology Major


WHO SHOULD USE THIS ACADEMIC MAP
This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Secondary Education, AA  at CSN and plan to transfer to NSU to complete a BS Secondary Education - Biology Major upon graduating from CSN.
 
Students should visit the NSU/CSN Transfer Office for transfer course grade and GPA requirements.
 
HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP
The academic map totals a minimum of 60 credits and assumes no transferred coursework.  It is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the degree in four (4) semesters.  Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree, graduate and transfer.  Click on a course to see more information about that course including description, prerequisites and credit value.
 
PLEASE NOTE
The nine (9) credits of Major Electives Requirements is satisfied through the following - one (1) credit from MATH 181 (with the other three credits from MATH 181 satisfying the GE Mathematics), four (4) credits from CHEM 122, and four (4) credits from BIOL 190.

  • CSN’s EDU 202 course satisfies NSU’s EDU 250 requirement.
  • One credit of MATH 181 may be applied to your overall Major Electives Requirements.
  • Students MUST MEET with an advisor or counselor BEFORE REGISTERING for their NEXT SEMESTER.

  • Total Minimum Credits: 16
  • PSY 201 is a CSN recommended course for satisfying the GE Social Science requirement.

  • SPAN 111 is a CSN recommended course for satisfying the World Language portion of the GE Humanities requirement.
