Map for Transfer: CSN AA Criminal Justice to NSU BA Criminal Justice Major


WHO SHOULD USE THIS ACADEMIC MAP
This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Criminal Justice, AA  at CSN and plan to transfer to NSU to complete a BA Criminal Justice Major upon graduating from CSN. 
 
Students should visit the NSU/CSN Transfer Center for transfer course grade and GPA requirements.
 
HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP
The academic map totals a minimum of 61 credits and assumes no transferred coursework.  It is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the degree in four (4) semesters. Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree, graduate and transfer.  Click on a course to see more information about that course including description, prerequisites and credit value.

  • Total Minimum Credits:15
  • Student MUST MEET with an advisor or counselor BEFORE REGISTERING for their NEXT SEMESTER.

 
  • Mathematics (General Education) - Credits 3-5: Options Include: MATH 120  or MATH 120E  
  • English Composition (General Education) - Credits 3-5: Options Include: ENG 100  or ENG 101  or ENG 110  or ENG 113  
  • Humanities (General Education) - Credits 3:  
  • Fine Arts (General Education) - Credits 3: See a counselor or advisor to choose a course option without prerequisites and is valued at 3 credits.

Transfer from CSN with A.A.


If you are a student transferring from the College of Southern Nevada and have completed an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), or Associate of Business (AB) degree, you may be admitted to Nevada State University with full junior status. You will not need to take any additional classes to satisfy NSU’s Core Curriculum requirements.
