DESCRIPTION
Provides students with classroom and laboratory experiences in CADD, CAM, CNC, milling and turning. Program focuses on those skills used in manufacturing machining, industrial, and operation-support settings. 

COMPUTATION & HUMAN RELATIONS COMPONENTS
  • Computation: ET 111B or MATH 116 or above.
  • Human Relations: Any course option in the GE Communications section.

Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Use tools as it applies to each computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines. 
  2. Manually input G-Code for CNC machining. 
  3. Interpret GD&T symbology from machine print drawings. 
  4. Setup and layout the material used in the CNC machine.
  5. Test for safety and machining certifications required for employment.
