WHO SHOULD USE THIS ACADEMIC MAP

This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Associate of Science, AS at CSN and plan to transfer to NSU to complete a BS Human Health Sciences Major upon graduating from CSN. This includes the following NSU Human Health Sciences Majors:

Students should visit the NSU/CSN Transfer Office for transfer course grade and GPA requirements.

HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP

The academic map totals 60 credits and assumes no transferred coursework. It is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the degree in four (4) semesters. Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree, graduate and transfer. STUDENT NOTE: NSU requires completion of 8 Natural Science credits while CSN only requires completion of 7 Natural Science credits. The additional credit of Natural Science completed may count toward completion of the Major Requirement Electives area.

CSN Semester #1 - Recommended Courses

Total Minimum Credits: 15
NSU requires completion of either PSY 101 or SOC 101.
Student MUST MEET with an advisor or counselor BEFORE REGISTERING for their NEXT SEMESTER.

Mathematics (General Education) - Credits 3-5: Options Include: MATH 120 or MATH 120E
English Composition (General Education) - Credits 3-5: Options Include: ENG 100 or ENG 101 or ENG 110 or ENG 113
Humanities (General Education) - Credits 3: COM 101 - Public Speaking
Fine Arts (General Education) - Credits 3: See a counselor or advisor to choose a course option without prerequisites and is valued at 3 credits.
Social Science (General Education) - Credits 3: Options Include: PSY 101 or SOC 101

NSU requires completion of BIOL 189.
