Map for Transfer: CSN AS Associate of Science to NSU BS Interdisciplinary Studies Major


About this Academic Map
  • This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Associate of Science, AS  at CSN and plan to transfer to NSU to complete a BS Interdisciplinary Studies Major upon graduating from CSN.
  • This 60-credit map, designed for students without transfer credits, represents the optimal pathway to completing this degree.
    • Please note: NSU requires completion of MATH 181 which is 4 credits, but the minimum needed for GE Mathematics on the CSN AS Associate of Science is 3 credits.  The additional credit of MATH 181 may count toward completion of the Major Requirement Core Requirements area.

CSN First Semester


  • Total Minimum Credits: 16
  • NSU requires completion of MATH 181.

 
  • Mathematics (General Education) - Credits 4:  
  • English Composition (General Education) - Credits 3-5: Options Include: ENG 100  or ENG 101  or ENG 110  or ENG 113  
  • Humanities (General Education) - Credits 3:  
  • Fine Arts (General Education) - Credits 3: Select a course option from the GE Fine Arts list on the AS Associate of Science degree sheet.
  • Social Science (General Education) - Credits 3: Select a course option from the GE Social Science list on the AS Associate of Science degree sheet.

  • NSU requires completion of PSC 101.

 

CSN Third Semester


  • Total Minimum Credits: 12
  • NSU requires completion of ENG 231 or 232.

  • Natural Science - No Lab Experience (General Education) - Credits 3:
