About this Academic Map
- This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Associate of Science, AS at CSN and plan to transfer to UNR to complete a BS Hydrogeology Major upon graduating from CSN.
- This 61-credit map, designed for students without transfer credits, represents the optimal pathway to completing this degree.
- Please note the following:
- UNR requires completion of MATH 181 which is 4 credits, but the minimum needed for GE Mathematics on the CSN AS Associate of Science is 3 credits. The additional credit of MATH 181 may count toward completion of the Major Requirements Electives area.
- UNR requires completion of 8 credits of Natural Science General Education credits while the CSN AS Associate of Science only requires completion of 7 Natural Science credits. The additional credit of Natural Science completed may count toward completion of the Major Requirement Electives area.
- UNR requires completion of a total of 19 Core Requirements credits, but the minimum Core Requirements needed on the CSN AS Associate of Science is 18 credits. The additional credit completed may count toward completion of the Major Requirement Electives area.

CSN Fourth Semester - Humanities (General Education) - Credits 3: Options Include: ENG 231 or ENG 232
- U.S. and Nevada Constitutions (General Education) - Credits 4: PSC 101 - Introduction to American Politics
- Core Requirements (Major Requirements) - Credits 4: PHYS 181 and PHYS 181L
- Core Requirements (Major Requirements) - Credits 3: See your CSN advising unit or the UNR/CSN Transfer Program to choose course options from the Core Requirements list on the AS Associate of Science degree sheet.
