Mathematics (General Education) - Credits 4: MATH 181 - Calculus I
English Composition (General Education) - Credits 3: Options Include: ENG 100 or ENG 101 or ENG 110 or ENG 113
Humanities (General Education) - Credits 3: COM 101 - Public Speaking
Social Science (General Education) - Credits 3: Select a course option from the GE Social Science list on the AS Physical Sciences degree sheet.
Major Requirements - Credits 4: GEOL 101 - Geology: Exploring Planet Earth

English Composition (General Education) - Credits 3: Options Include: ENG 102 or ENG 114
Major Requirements - Credits 4: CHEM 121 - General Chemistry I
Major Requirements - Credits 4: GEOL 102 - Earth and Life Through Time
Major Requirements - Credits 4: MATH 182 - Calculus II

Total Minimum Credits: 15
UNLV requires completion of CHEM 122 and PSC 101.
UNLV requires completion of one group for Physics - either PHYS 151 and 152; or PHYS 180/180L and 181/181L. Students CANNOT mix courses between the two groups, they must complete one group or the other.

Natural Science (General Education) - Credits 4: Choose either PHYS 151 or the combination of PHYS 180 and PHYS 180L (please see the note above as well)
U.S. and Nevada Constitutions (General Education) - Credits 4: PSC 101 - Introduction to American Politics
Major Requirements - Credits 4: CHEM 122 - General Chemistry II
Major Requirements - Credits 4: See your CSN advising unit or the UNLV/CSN Transfer Program to choose a GEOL course option not used to satisfy another section of this degree.

Total Minimum Credits: 14
UNLV requires completion of GEOL 220 and either ENG 231 or ENG 232.
UNLV requires completion of one group for Physics - either PHYS 151 and 152; or PHYS 180/180L and 181/181L. Students CANNOT mix courses between the two groups, they must complete one group or the other. Students should complete the second course in their chosen group during this semester.
