Construction Management: Construction Technology, AAS

DESCRIPTION
This degree prepares students to supervise and manage the construction of commercial and residential buildings.  Students will be prepared for employment in the various construction trades and as construction estimators, schedulers, building inspectors, and other supervisory positions in the construction industry.

Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Analyze construction material used in residential and commercial construction.
  2. Demonstrate construction methods used in residential and commercial construction.
  3. Explore various bid documents, construction contracts, and resolution of contract disputes.
  4. Explain the provisions contained in the International Building Code and the International Residential Codes.  (Building Inspection Skill Certification Students)
  5. Analyze items, elements, or systems in construction by manually and visually identifying what is necessary for its construction.  (Construction Technollgy Skill Certification Students)
  6. Create a computer based construction estimate and schedule.  (Construction Estimating Skill Certification Students)
