About this Academic Map
- This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Associate of Science, AS at CSN and plan to transfer to UNR to complete a BS Geology Major upon graduating from CSN.
- This 60-credit map, designed for students without transfer credits, represents the optimal pathway to completing this degree.
- Please note the following:

UNR requires completion of MATH 181 which is 4 credits, but the minimum needed for GE Mathematics on the CSN AS Associate of Science is 3 credits. The additional credit of MATH 181 may count toward completion of the Major Requirements Electives area.

UNR requires completion of 8 credits of Natural Science General Education credits while the CSN AS Associate of Science only requires completion of 7 Natural Science credits. The additional credit of Natural Science completed may count toward completion of the Major Requirement Electives area.

UNR requires completion of a total of 19 Core Requirements credits, but the minimum Core Requirements needed on the CSN AS Associate of Science is 18 credits. The additional credit completed may count toward completion of the Major Requirement Electives area.

- UNR requires completion of MATH 127.
CSN Second Semester
- Total Minimum Credits: 15
- UNR requires completion of CHEM 122 and GEOL 101 and MATH 181.
CSN Third Semester
- Total Minimum Credits: 15
- UNR requires completion of GEOL 102 and MATH 182 and PHYS 180 and PHYS180L.
- Social Science (General Education) - Credits 3: Select a course option from the GE Social Science list on the AS Associate of Science degree sheet.
- Core Requirements (Major Requirements) - Credits 4: GEOL 102 - Earth and Life Through Time
- Core Requirements (Major Requirements) - Credits 4: MATH 182 - Calculus II

CSN Fourth Semester
- Total Minimum Credits: 14
- UNR requires completion of PSC 101 and PHYS 181 and PHYS 181L and either ENG 231 or ENG 232.
