DESCRIPTION
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Real Estate provides students with the knowledge and skills to make intelligent decisions in the acquisition, ownership and disposition of real estate. This degree provides entry to mid-level proficiency for real estate agents, brokers, property managers and appraisers. The program also provides enrichment opportunities for escrow officers, loan officers, building contractors and land developers.

Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Explain real estate sales practices and the application to the real estate industry.
  2. Apply negotiation strategies and techniques applicable to real estate situations involving real estate transactions.
  3. Explain the purpose of a standard real estate appraisal and the practices by which it is used.
  4. Demonstrate ability to consummate real estate transactions in accordance with local, state, and Federal guidelines.
  5. Apply broker concepts used to successfully manage a brokerage office.

TOTAL GENERAL EDUCATION CREDITS: 22


300-level and above courses cannot be used to satisfy GE requirements.

Mathematics (3 Credits)

English Composition (3-5 Credits)


NOTE: Your first college-level ENG course MUST be completed before reaching 30 total college-level credits.

Grades of D+, D, and D- in the major requirements (occupational) area in an Associate of Applied Science degree program will not count toward graduation requirements.
