About this Academic Map
- This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Art, AA at CSN and plan to transfer to UNR to complete a BA or BFA Art-Drawing Major upon graduating from CSN. This includes the following UNR Art Programs:
- UNR BA Art-Drawing Major
- UNR BFA Art-Drawing Major
- This 60-credit map, designed for students without transfer credits, represents the optimal pathway to completing this degree.

- UNR/CSN Transfer Program - Students should schedule appointments at the beginning of their third semester. Schedule an appointment by visiting tinyurl.com/NVatCSNAdvisors, click Select Staff, the advisor’s name, a date, an appointment time, and then click “Book.”

CSN Third Semester - Analytical Reasoning (General Education) - Credits 3: Options Include: PHIL 102 or PHIL 114
- Natural Science No Lab (General Education) - Credits 3:
Options without Lab (and No Prerequisites and three (3) credits) include: ANTH 102 or AST 103 or AST 104 or BIOL 112 or BIOL 113 or BIOL 114 or BIOL 116 or BIOL 120 or BIOL 121 or BIOL 220 or CHEM 105 or ENV 101 or ENV 220 or GEOG 103 or GEOG 117 or GEOL 100 or GEOL 105 - Social Science (General Education) - Credits 3: Select a course option from the GE Social Science list on the AA Art degree sheet.
- Core Requirements (Major Requirements) - Credits 3: ART 261 - Survey of Art History II
- General Elective (Major Requirements) - Credits 4: See your CSN advising unit or the UNR/CSN Transfer Program to choose a World Language 111 or above course (this includes the following course prefixes: ARA, ARM, CHI, FIL, FREN, GER, GRE, ITAL, JPN, KOR, LAT, PORT, RUS, SPAN, and THAI)
CSN Fourth Semester
- Total Minimum Credits: 14
- UNR requires completion of ART 201.
