About this Academic Map
- This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Associate of Arts, AA at CSN and plan to transfer to UNLV to complete a BS Public Health Major upon graduating from CSN.
- This 60-credit map, designed for students without transfer credits, represents the optimal pathway to completing this degree.
- Please note: UNLV requires completion of eight (8) credits of Natural Science, but the minimum needed for GE Natural Science on the CSN AA Associate of Arts is 6 credits. The additional credit of Natural Science may count toward completion of the Major Requirements Electives area.

CSN First Semester
- Total Minimum Credits: 15
- UNLV requires completion of PSY 101 and either MATH 124 or 124E.
CSN Second Semester
- Total Minimum Credits: 14
- UNLV requires completion of BIOL 189 and SOC 101.
CSN Third Semester
- Total Minimum Credits: 17
- UNLV requires completion of BIOL 223 and CHEM 108 and either ENG 231 or ENG 232.
- Completion of ENG 231 or 232 also satisfies CSN Values and Diversity requirement.
- Literature (General Education) - Credits 3: Options Inlcude: ENG 231 or ENG 232
- Natural Science (General Education) - Credits 4: BIOL 223 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I
- Humanities (General Education) - Credits 3: Select a course from the GE Humanities list on the AA Associate of Arts degree sheet.
- Social Science Electives (Major Requirements) - Credits 3: Select a course from the Social Science Electives list on the AA Associate of Arts degree sheet.
- Electives (Major Requirements) - Credits 4: CHEM 108 - Introduction to Chemistry
CSN Fourth Semester
- Total Minimum Credits: 14
- UNLV requires completion of BIOL 225 and BIOL 251 and STAT 152.
