This academic map should be used by CSN students who are
completing the Computer Science, AA at CSN AND PLAN to transfer to UNLV to complete a BS Computer Science Major upon graduating from CSN.
HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP
The academic map is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the degree in four (4) semesters. Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree, graduate and transfer. Please note - This map adds up to a total of 61 credits.
CSN AA COMPUTER SCIENCE DESCRIPTION
The Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science is a general transfer program for students who are planning to transfer to baccalaureate-level institutions. A secondary objective is employment upon completion of the degree.
This program provides the knowledge and skills that leads to further, specialized study of Computer Science at a four-year college or university. It satisfies the first two years of most Computer Science degrees. The Associate of Arts degree includes skills in mathematics, communication (oral, written, and listening), systems programming, systems analysis and design, and computer science fundamentals.
